Who this covers

This policy applies to the Green Light website (greenlighttracker.com) and the Green Light mobile app, once available on Google Play and the App Store.

What we collect on this website

If you submit your email address to be notified at launch, we collect that email address and send it to our email service provider, Brevo, to manage the notification list and confirmation email. We don’t use cookies, analytics, or any other tracking on this website. We don’t sell or share your email address with anyone else.

What the app collects

To do its job, the Green Light app collects information you choose to give it about your vehicles, including:

• Vehicle details you add (make, model, year, VIN, license plate, mileage)
• Maintenance records, including photos or scans of receipts and service documents
• Fuel fill-up entries used to calculate fuel economy
• Your account information (such as email address) used to sync your data

How it’s used

Your vehicle data is used to power the app’s core features: logging maintenance, extracting details from scanned documents, checking your VIN against public recall databases, sending you reminders, and calculating each vehicle’s health score. We don’t sell your data, and we don’t use it for advertising.

Data retention and deletion

Your data is kept for as long as your account is active. You can request deletion of your account and all associated data at any time by contacting us at bernetixinnovation@gmail.com or through our contact form.

Third parties

We share data with the following third parties to run the app’s features. Each processes this data on our behalf, under its own privacy and security commitments — we don’t sell your data to any of them.

• Brevo — your email address and display name, to send transactional email (magic-link sign-in, email-change confirmation, trial and feature emails) and, for the launch waitlist, to manage the notification list.
• PostHog — a device identifier and in-app activity (screens viewed, features used), to understand how the app is used. We don’t send your email or other identifying details.
• RevenueCat and Google Play Billing — an app user ID, purchase and subscription status, and device info, to process in-app purchases and manage subscriptions.
• OpenAI — photos of maintenance receipts you scan, to extract the vendor, date, amount, and odometer reading. Images are processed and then discarded — we don’t store them, and they aren’t retained by OpenAI.
• Expo and, on Android, Google Firebase Cloud Messaging — a device push token and notification content, to deliver push notifications.
• imagin.studio / CarImages API — your device’s IP address and your vehicle’s make, model, and year, to display a stock photo of your vehicle. No account information is shared.
